8am breakfast,
then started the ride for real. It didn't take long to get to Penzance
again so we were early for the Morning Service. Sat on the promenade
for ½ hour or so in very hot sunshine under a blue sky. Then went
up to the Meeting Room. The people there were a little surprised
to see us arriving on the tandem but were even more surprised when
we explained what we were planning to do! Tandem stashed in the
kitchen, quick change into "respectable" attire, then into the Breaking
of Bread Service. Ken was asked if he would mind playing the organ
for the service but in the event another organist arrived who was
already prepared to play, and shortly after someone else arrived
who offered to play as well!

Afterwards,
in conversation, we mentioned that we were hoping to be at Kendal
Christadelphian Meeting the following Sunday, which seemed a tall
order even to us! Bade our farewells about 1pm and then started
the ride in earnest.
Stopped in Marazion
to pick up some food for our lunch. Wound our way through the lanes
of Cornwall, a very up and down sort of ride, B3280 to Cambourne,
on to Redruth, back lanes to avoid the main A30 took us to Truro.
Short break for half an hour or so which gave Linda the opportunity
to lie down on a park bench to relieve her saddle soreness, then
some refreshments and on (A390) to St. Austell.
